Connected fitness devices require secure, customizable and continuously evolving software platforms. Abinsula supported an international fitness and wellness company in the development of advanced modules for a digital platform based on AOSP, improving the functionality, usability and security of devices used in fitness centers worldwide.
The project involved the development of advanced software components for an Android-based embedded environment, including security features, permission management, custom user interfaces, NFC integration and plugin management. Abinsula also supported the platform porting to Android 14 and 15, enabling the client to evolve its digital ecosystem while maintaining compatibility, security and a consistent user experience across connected fitness devices.
