IoT gateway platforms must support multiple hardware configurations, communication protocols and long-term software evolution. Abinsula collaborated with Eurotech in the development of a customized Linux distribution for a family of multiservice IoT gateways, enabling reliable hardware support, system updates and adaptability across different device versions.
Abinsula supported the customization of the embedded Linux environment by developing Yocto-based libraries, configuring the Board Support Package and ensuring that all device peripherals could be properly managed by the operating system. The work also included fastboot optimization and system update mechanisms, allowing the platform to evolve across different hardware releases while maintaining performance, reliability and maintainability.
